The role of the Neighbourhood Management Team is to work closely with residents, the local authority, and voluntary and community groups to deliver the Boldon Newtown Neighbourhood Plan. The themes in the plan focus on employment and learning, housing and the physical environment, crime and community safety, health issues, opportunities for children and young people and community engagement.

The actions in the plan have been developed and shaped in consultation with local people and partner agencies, to improve the Boldon Newtwown Area. The team is employed by Home Housing in partnership with South Tyneside Council and is funded by Neighbourhood Renewal Funding and Home Housing.
